New Delhi: The festival of ten days and nine nights, Navratri starts today (October 17) this year and will continue till October 25, Sunday. During these nine days, each day is dedicated to worshipping the nine Avatars of Goddess Durga. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil is associated with the prominent battle that took place between Goddess Durga and Mahishasura.
The festival which is celebrated with full pomp and show across the country will witness different celebrations this year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic as garba and dandiya night has been banned by the government this year.
